QuikTrip Selects Emerson's E2 Facility Management System for Nationwide Rollout
Emerson’s integrated facility management technology proves its value for leading convenience store chain
Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), announced that QuikTrip has agreed to install Emerson’s E2 Facility Management System in all of its nearly 500 convenience stores across the United States.
QuikTrip is just one of many leading convenience store retailers installing Emerson’s E2 to more efficiently monitor and manage energy consumption within their facilities. Using the E2, and other technologies from Emerson’s Intelligent Store™ architecture, customers commonly see between 10% and 15% reduction in their energy bills through more efficient control of lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration systems. This is accomplished by reducing total kilowatt usage as well as controlling demand levels at each facility. |

By collecting and analyzing data both for individual stores and for their entire enterprise, QuikTrip is able to quickly identify where improvements in equipment performance need to be made. Integrating all these systems into the E2 and accessing it from an internet enabled computer allows multiple stores to be monitored from a central location. Beyond a reduction in energy usage, QuikTrip has seen enhancements in their maintenance and food safety initiatives as well.
Emerson’s E2 is designed and manufactured by the Retail Solutions division of Emerson Climate Technologies.
