New Algorithms Improve Refrigeration System Performance
In late July, Emerson Retail Solutions will release the latest version of the E2 Facility Management System. The new version contains new algorithms that improve refrigeration system performance for supermarket operators using the E2 RX models.
Refrigeration systems require considerable annual maintenance and energy budgets, and are critical for supermarket retailers to operate efficiently. As part of Emerson's Intelligent Store ™ architecture, the E2 RX optimally manages frozen and medium temperature cases, as well as the refrigeration racks that contain compressors and valves necessary for proper system operation. The new algorithms in the E2 RX reduce compressor cycling, which is a major cause of decreased equipment lifespans. Reduced compressor cycling may also contribute to reduced energy consumption as well.
When the new E2 is used in conjunction with Emerson's Intelligent Store Discus ® compressor, users gain access to advanced asset management, upgradeable compressor software, online fault history, and remote reset capabilities. Not only do these abilities help supermarket operators track their valuable assets, the remote reset capability can actually reduce service calls—saving valuable maintenance dollars through service call avoidance.
